About

Anyone who knows me well knows that when I set my mind to something, I will dive in headfirst. My life has been a wonderful journey. I graduated from college, got married, became a mother, adopted 4 labs over 20 years, and recently became a grandmother of beautiful twin girls.

However, I came to the art world a little later in life. Always admiring and wishing I could hone my creativity, I decided to teach myself how to paint. I had admired art in people's homes and of course, my creative friends that made painting canvas look exciting.

It started small with some Christmas ornaments, small pieces of furniture, etc. When my husband and I decided to remodel our ranch style home, I realized that art was missing. I set on a mission to fill my walls with colorful art. I started with animals, mostly dogs, and ventured into paintings that I knew I could handle. Then I started to purchase larger thrift store pieces of furniture and would give them a makeover. I found that when I was concentrating on my art ––I was happy and peaceful. Soon other friends, neighbors, and family were asking me to paint for them and their loved ones and it grew from there.

Fast forward to today: It has been 15 years since I started my journey and I can say that I have turned my hobby of painting full-time pleasure. I have done some Dallas art shows as well as some community shows and markets. I am blessed to have clients push me out of my comfort zone to expand my abilities.

I hope that you find my art is whimsical, colorful, and fun.
